Power knocked out at traffic lights in Brookland

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Residents in the Brookland area are without power right now.

There have also been reports of the traffic lights down along Highway 49 area.

Justin Etter, communications coordinator with Craighead Electric Cooperative, told Region 8 News a transmission line went out at the company's Lake City substation causing the outages.

Crews are on the way to the scene to restore power.

In the meantime, power will be routed through another substation.
