Roads in Blytheville ‘mostly’ clear after overnight storm

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police say highways into their town and city streets are mostly clear after the Thursday night storm rolled through.

Assistant Police Chief Ricky Jefferson encourages drivers to still be cautious while driving because roads could get slick again Friday night.

Jefferson said that some residential streets are still icy, despite the increase in temperature.

He recommends keeping a two to three car distance between vehicles while driving in icy conditions.

Jefferson added that if your vehicle begins to slide, you should turn into the slide, shift to neutral and gently tap the brakes to stop.
