JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - All the winter weather that hit Region 8 this week has auto body shops preparing for an influx of customers.
Whether it was from sliding off in a ditch, into another car, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time under falling ice, many people have plans to take their vehicles into a body shop soon.
Jeff Edgar, an estimator at Collision Repair in Jonesboro said it'll take a few days for people to get their insurance claims to come through. When they do though, they'll see a spike in customers.
"With some of the ice that we've had, you're gonna have more severity with the accidents, the non-drivable stuff. But you're going to have an increase of 10-12 percent," Edgar said.
This is the second time in less than a month that body shops have been busy though.
The hail storm that hit our area Christmas Eve put a lot of cars in repair shops too.
