JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - They may not have had a "designer's touch," but Jonesboro police say crooks who broke into a local salon had sticky fingers.
The owner of Designer's Touch, 919 N. Church, opened her salon Tuesday morning to find crooks had broken in sometime since Saturday afternoon.
According to the initial incident report, the thieves pried open a side door to enter the shop.
Once inside, it appeared the culprits stood on chairs to steal a television on the wall and a stereo that was on a shelf above a sink.
Police stated the thieves also took a large box of chips and a box of honey buns.
In an unrelated case, police also investigated a report of vandalism at Kee Construction, 901 N. Church.
According to the incident report, someone ripped off the front of the Pepsi vending machine in an attempt to steal the money inside.
The crooks were unable to get to the cash, but they did $500 damage to the machine.
Anyone with information on either of these cases is urged to call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
