LITTLE ROCK, AR - State Representative David Cook of Williford returned to his desk on the House floor yesterday after suffering several injuries March 6 when his motorcycle crashed on Arkansas 58.

The Sharp County Democrat was hospitalized in a Jonesboro hospital for eight days.  He said he broke his back in four places, and surgery was needed to repair his left collarbone.

The legislator said he'll be wearing a brace for two months, but shouldn't miss more of the legislative session.

Cook said he was leaning into a curve when his motorcycle's foot board struck the pavement, causing him to lose control of the bike.
