Woman arrested, accused of stabbing boyfriend

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested and charged a woman with felony domestic battery after they say she threw a knife at her boyfriend.

Officers arrested Caroline Sue Gann, 53, Monday night at her home in the 2000-block of Belt Street.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the 53-year-old victim sitting on the couch with a rag around his lower right leg. Blood was pooling by his foot.

Officer Brian Arnold applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and asked the victim what had happened.

The man said Gann had cut him when she threw a knife at him.

While Arnold tended to the victim, Officer Jeremy Wheelis searched the apartment and found Gann locked in a bedroom.

After identifying himself, Gann opened the door and Wheelis arrested her.

Gann was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and charged with felony domestic battering-second degree. She was left to await a bond hearing.

An ambulance crew took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.
