PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - The Pay it Forward Paragould organization kicked off their second annual Valentine's Day project this week.
It is all to bring a smile to local nursing home residents.
The organization is asking people to make as many Valentine's cards as possible.
Several local schools and church groups are participating.
The cards will be distributed to the residents on Valentine's Day.
A resident at Belle Meade Rehabilitation facility said some of the people there never get a visit.
Jerry Smalling said getting something as simple as a card means the world to them.
"They'll wave them around and say, 'Look. Look what somebody sent me,'" Smalling said. "They don't know who it's from and they don't really care because it's no interest to them except that somebody cared."
Pay it Forward needs the cards by Friday, Feb. 12.
