JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro city council committee discussed the police department's new firing range Tuesday.
Plans are on hold after the proposed contract for architectural work was tabled indefinitely.
"That's going to be revised considerably," Public Works Committee Chairman John Street said. "It will have to be renegotiated."
The resolution was postponed temporarily earlier in the year. However, the resolution is now postponed indefinitely.
"In what we talked about in our building facilities committee is that maybe we could make some changes to this contract and those changes have not been made," Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin said.
The committee voted unanimously to table the resolution.
A rezoning request was approved in 2015 to place the firing range along Dan Avenue.
