JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are investigating two reported rapes and one involves a student.

In the first case, a 12-year-old girl told a school staff member she thought she might be pregnant.

The child reportedly said she had been "sexually active" with a 19-year-old man and had missed her last menstrual cycle.

School officials notified the girl's mother and contacted the Child Abuse Hotline.

In an unrelated case, a 22-year-old woman told police a man put a gun to her head and forced her to perform a sex act.

The woman said the incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday at a residence on East Craighead Forest Road.

The victim said she had just arrived home and was opening her door when an unknown black man came up behind her and pushed her into the apartment.

Once inside, she claimed the man told her to "get down on her knees" and perform a sex act.

When she started to scream, the man "pulled a black handgun out of his pocket and hushed her," the initial incident report stated.

The woman stated she performed the sex act while still at gunpoint.

Later she said the man got up, made her open the door for him, and left the area on foot

She described the man as being 5'9", average weight, wearing a black Polo toboggan, blue Polo zip-up jacket, and gray sweatpants.

She said both of the man's ears were pierced and he wore "large circular diamond earrings."

A K9 unit was called to the scene and a track performed, but police were unable to locate the alleged attacker.

According to the initial incident report, EMS was called to the scene but the victim refused treatment and said she did not have any physical injuries.
