JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A local gym packed on the pounds during the month of January.

According to the Trim Gym General Manager James Bickham, the gym held an inaugural food drive during January.

"Our members and staff had one month to raise and donate as much food as possible," Bickham said. "I challenged everyone to see how much we could bring in."

Bickham said the goal for the drive was 250 lbs of food, something he thought was a "realistic, possible goal" for their first food drive.

However, Bickham said he underestimated the members and staff of the Trim Gym.

"We've raised 657 pounds of food to donate to the Jonesboro Food Bank and back to our community," Bickham said.
