Woman arrested after passing out in stranger's home

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police arrested a Jonesboro woman after a homeowner found her sleeping in their bedroom.

Thursday evening police were called to the 100-block of Woodrow Street regarding a woman who had walked into a home and passed out in the bedroom floor.

April Christine Pittman, 36, was still in the floor when Officer Jeremy Smith arrived, according to the initial incident report.

Smith stated Pittman "appeared very disoriented" and had trouble keeping her balance.

Once outside the home, Pittman reportedly told police and paramedics she had "just smoked two bowls of methamphetamine."

She refused to be taken to the hospital.

Instead, Smith took her to the Craighead County Detention Center and charged her with public intoxication and a parole violation.

In addition to a bond of $205, her parole officer placed a hold on Pittman.
