TUCKERMAN, AR (KAIT) - The Tuckerman City Council plans to meet Tuesday night to discuss the closure of the town's assisted living facilities.
Members of the community tell Region 8 News they are not happy with the decision and plan to be at the meeting, which starts at 6 p.m., to try and keep the program around.
However, City Clerk Pam Cawthon told Region 8 News that the closing has already been put to a vote.
Cawthon explained that they had six months as of July to make a decision and they voted to close the facility.
Cawthon said during that six month period, no one said anything about closing the facility.
Cawthon said the facility was losing money for years.
