Three arrested after shooting in hotel parking lot

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police arrested three people involved in a shooting at a Jonesboro hotel this weekend.

The incident happened in the Fairfield Inn and Suites parking lot on the Access Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to the report, police responded to shots fired. As an officer was heading to the hotel, a red car passed by with the suspects in the vehicle.

Police followed the car along the Access Road to Apache Road and finally pulled them over at Murdock's Café on Red Wolf Boulevard.

Police searched the car and found a gun under the seat and one spent round on the floorboard.

Officers interviewed the driver and passengers.

According to the witnesses, an altercation occurred in the hotel parking lot between the driver, Robert Pierce, 33, and another male.

The report states Pierce dropped the gun and it went off.

Police were not able to locate the man Pierce claims to have been arguing with or another female witness.

While police were interviewing the witnesses, they found that two of the passengers had active warrants.

Sierra Williams, 23, was arrested on an out of town warrant in Paragould and Jessica Tomlinson, 34, was arrested on a probation violation.

Police are still investigating the incident.
