Paragould police to hold concealed carry class

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

The Paragould Police Department, in conjunction with Black River Technical College, will host a concealed handgun carry license class on Saturday, April 2.

The class will be held at the BRTC campus, 1 Black River Dr. in Paragould, beginning at 8 a.m., weather permitting.

All handouts and the application will be provided. Participants will just need to bring a black ink pen and a valid Arkansas driver’s license or state I.D. card.

Attendees will need their firearm at the range and a minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition. Eye and ear protection will be provided for those who do not have any.

Leave firearms and ammunition secured in vehicle at all times during classroom training.

Chief Todd Stovall, Captain Phillip Faulkner and Captain Greg Trout are the instructors.

The cost of the class is $70.

Upon completion of the class and successful range qualification, participants under 65 years of age will send in their application packet, fingerprints and a check or money order for $139.75 to the Arkansas State Police Regulatory Division. Those over 65 will pay $89.75. The licenses are valid for 5 years.
