BALD KNOB, AR (KAIT) -

Although it was not the jackpot, a White County resident is thousands richer after playing Powerball.

Jimmy Pearrow of Bald Knob stepped forward to claim $100,000, according to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Pearrow was the winner in Wednesday night's drawing and bought the ticket at the Bald Knob Market, U.S. Highway 64 East. The store is eligible for a $1,000 retailer bonus for selling the ticket.

Pearrow's winnings came from spending an extra dollar for the Power Play option which got him an extra $50,000 along with winning $50,000 for matching four white balls.

The big winner decided to keep his future plans for the winnings to himself, according to the ASL.

The Powerball jackpot is at $176 million and the next drawing is Saturday. Watch Region 8 News at 10 for those numbers.
