JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Police Department has issued an alert for three suspects who may be involved in a kidnapping on the west side of the city.

According to Paul Holmes, public information specialist for JPD, police were called to the 1000 block of Gee Street around 4 p.m. Friday.

Police stated they found a male naked and injured.

JPD stated the victim met a white woman on Stratford Street and got in a car with her. While they were in the vehicle, two armed black men beat and robbed the man. They made him take off his clothes and took an undetermined amount of money and his cell phone.

The victim said he was able to jump from the moving car and he was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

One family driving along Gee Street saw the victim escape.

"He just had blood coming out of his head, he had road rash and just all kinds of cuts and bruises going all down his body. We rolled down the window and started calling 911 to try and get someone down here," the witness said.

The family said the whole incident was terrifying and they are glad the man was taken to the hospital for help.

"At first we didn't believe it was happening. I mean it was very nerve racking and scary. I didn't really understand what was going on at first and I think it was a joke," the witness said.

In the initial report police stated the woman was also a victim, but they do not believe she is in any danger now.

According to police on Friday around 11:30 p.m they found a Chevrolet Impala sitting at the intersection of Ely Walker Road and Cottage Home Road.

After police ran the tags on the vehicle, dispatch confirmed it to be the suspected vehicle involved in the kidnapping.

Police say early Saturday morning they received a call from a woman claiming she was the victim.

She told police she was in Earl, AR at her mother's house and just got home after the suspects abandoned her on a county road in Jonesboro.

The case is still under investigation, according to police.

The woman was originally described to have blonde hair with brunette highlights, blue eyes. The three suspects are all in their 20s.

Police are asking anyone with information about this case to call CrimeStoppers at (870) 935-STOP (7867) or Jonesboro police are (870) 935-5562.
