JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police located the car of the woman who was found dead Friday afternoon.

A news release Monday from the Jonesboro Police Department states the white Buick was found near the intersection of Ellis Ln. and Prospect Rd.

Region 8 News spoke with neighbors in the area who said the car had been there since 9:30 Friday evening.

Neighbors did not think much of it until the police came.

"We are used to seeing cars parked along here for days," neighbor John said.

One neighbor told Region 8 News they never thought something connected to this case would show up near them.

"It is a little scary, it is a little close to home. It is crazy what people do," John said.

"It makes you think what else is going on around you," Dillon said.

Police towed the car around 10:30 Monday morning. It is now being processed by the department to see if there is any evidence that can be helpful in the case.

"As part of the investigation we are going to go through it and see if we can find anything that can kind of help us figure out what happened to her," Sergeant Cassie Brandon said.

Police ask that anyone who may have seen the car or any person in the area prior to it being located by officers call 870-935-6710 to speak with a detective or call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).

Jonesboro police identified the body that was found north of the intersection of Commerce Dr. and Pacific Rd. Friday afternoon as Stacey Devine, 41, of Jonesboro. Her cause of death has not been determined.

According to Google Maps, Devine's car was found about two miles north of where her body was found.

Devine's body has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock for an autopsy.

Police have also interviewed family, friends and co-workers to find any more information that can lead to answers in the investigation.
