JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The friends and family of 41-year-old Stacey Devine held a vigil in her honor Sunday night.

Several people met at the intersection of Pacific Road and Commerce Drive in Jonesboro where Devine’s body was found on Friday, Feb. 12.

They shared memories and released balloons as they grieved the loss of their dear friend.

Tiffany McDonald considered Devine her best friend.

She says she won’t quit searching for answers until justice is served.

“I just want to make a promise to her that we will find out who did this,” McDonald said.

She said she cannot imagine who could leave her lifeless body laying alongside the road.

McDonald said despite the pain, Devine’s legacy will live on.

“I would have never thought in a million years that I would lose a best friend such as Stacey,” McDonald said.

Jonesboro police do not know how Devine died.

Her body is at the state crime lab in Little Rock for an autopsy.

Police are searching for Devine’s white 2013 Buick with license plate number 294-UPJ. The Jonesboro Police Department says anyone who spots the car should not touch it.

They are urged to immediately call the police department at 935-6710 or Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
