MANILA, AR (KAIT) -

The Manila Food Pantry moved to a larger and more convenient location, allowing them to serve more families in need.

The new location is downtown at 203 North Baltimore Street.

Director Sandra Hicks said she has already seen more people from the community coming to get food.

Janet Wright is a resident who has relied on the pantry in the past.

Wright said she is proud the town has expanded its services because she knows how important the pantry can be for a struggling family.

“It means a lot to our family,” Wright said. “Sometimes that is the only way we have gotten to eat before.”

Hicks said the pantry is open from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.

For more information on the pantry, contact Hicks at 870-838-4040.

It's something that most of us have experienced. You pass a law enforcement officer sitting in their car. They pull out, turn on their blue lights and pull you over. It's almost never good news when that happens right?
