CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Three men are in jail after one used a “sling blade” to break the windshield of a car with a child nearby, according to an incident report.

Craighead County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 217-block of County Road 777 in reference to a domestic disturbance.

A woman said she was moving things from the house when John Garner, 48, reportedly threw a tire at her vehicle and then picked up a “sling blade."

Deputies found Garner at another house on the road with two other men, Rodney Bracken, 51, and Shon Hester, 30.

The police report stated that all three men appeared to be drunk.

Garner admitted to deputies that he tried to break the car’s glass.

He was arrested for assault on a family or household member.

While deputies were placing him in custody, Bracken and Hester were reportedly shouting at them continuously.

The incident report states they were yelling obscenities at the deputies.

Bracken and Hester were arrested for obstructing governmental operations after a deputy said they were walking up and causing an alarm during the arrest of Garner.

Bracken continued to resist and yell at officers when he was taken into custody. He is also charged with resisting arrest.
