Man charged with DWI-drugs following crash

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

Before he could be taken to the hospital, investigators charged a Region 8 man with possession and driving under the influence of drugs after he wrecked his truck.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday on Route NN, five miles south of Gobler in Pemiscot County.

Jason S. Pratt, 42, of Poplar Bluff was southbound when his 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck ran off the left side of the road and overturned.

Pratt, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the crash report, was taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti with unspecified serious injuries.

MSHP charged him with driving while intoxicated-drugs, driving while revoked, no seat belt, failure to display valid plates, displaying plates of another, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.
