Crash on Highway 226 slows traffic, minor injuries reported

Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash on Highway 226, approximately two miles east of Cash.

According to Cash Police Chief Paul Slagley, the crash was first reported as a possible head-on crash shortly after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of one vehicle told Region 8 News that he stopped to move a barrel off the highway. He was in the opposite lane and was rear ended when he tried to pull back into his lane.

Police said the driver and a female passenger were sent to a hospital with minor injuries.

Arkansas State Police, Cash police and volunteer firefighters responded to the crash.
