Luxora shooting suspect's case continued

LUXORA, AR (KAIT) - A man wanted for shooting another man twice with a handgun has had his case continued to May after he turned himself into police in February.

According to police, Darrell Jeff Robertson Junior, 22, of Luxora was charged with battery in the shooting of Romeo Johnson, according to Luxora Police Chief Albert Wright.

The shooting took place on South Main Street in Luxora at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Wright said Robertson shot Johnson one time in the chest and one time in the groin area. Johnson is listed in stable condition at The Med in Memphis.

Wright said Johnson had another surgery Thursday.

Robertson was given a $75,000 bond. His case was continued to May 12.
