JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Jonesboro Police Department’s Polar Plunge for Special Olympics will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Elks Lodge, 2113 W. Washington.

Several officers, as well as other members of the community, will take the plunge.

Registration begins at noon, with live and silent auctions starting at 12:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of Arkansas.

Chief Chad Henson of the Trumann Police Department and Cpl. Jason Chester of JPD will serve as the emcees.

Luckily for those who will be “freezin’ for a reason,” the temperatures this weekend should be in the 60s.
