CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Several fire departments worked a fire in Craighead County Thursday that threatened a neighborhood.

The Valley View, Bono and South Ridge fire departments responded to put out a field fire on County Road 425.

They called the forestry commission to assist in stopping the fire from continuing to spread.

A neighborhood nearby came under threat when the fire began to spread too quickly.

They did get the fire under control Thursday evening.
