Mountain Home man arrested on new drug charges

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - A man on probation in Baxter County is behind bars again, but with new drug charges.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery stated Jacob Joseph Kratochvil, 39, of Mountain Home was arrested Thursday afternoon by Arkansas Community Correction officers.

The officers went to Kratochvil's residence to pick him up on an outstanding warrant.

After being taken into custody, Kratochvil was found to have "cylinder container holding a small amount of methamphetamine and several plastic baggies with methamphetamine residue," in his clothing, Montgomery said.

A sheriff's investigator then obtained a warrant for drug charges.

Kratochvil is now facing charges of possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and probation violation.

He is in the Baxter County Detention Center without bond and will appear in circuit court on Feb. 25.
