POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - A Pocahontas man claims an electric company placed transmission poles on his property without his permission. He stated they have since trespassed on his property too.

Chester Mack of 1815 Pace Road in Pocahontas filed an incident report with the Randolph County Sheriff's Department on February 18.

Mack reported that Southern Electric went onto his property "with a back hoe to work on some new metal electric poles that were installed without his permission."

The report states that there was a settlement in the works for the poles to be installed. However, Mack said while he was out of town, two sections of his fence were taken down, the poles were installed and the lines were strung.

The report states that Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble spoke with Attorney Don Brown about the situation. Brown advised Southern Electric that work would need to be put on hold until the new easement could be obtained.
