Woman killed in Caraway house fire identified

CARAWAY, AR (KAIT) -

8:55 p.m. UPDATE: According to Craighead County Sheriff's office, the victim of the fire has been identified as LaDonna Sneed, 53.

4:20 p.m. UPDATE: According to the Craighead County Sheriff's office, the fire started at 1:04 p.m. Neighbors told Region 8 News off camera, several of them tried to get the woman out of the house, but couldn't get to her. The sheriff's office will take the investigative lead since there is a dead body. 


3:50 p.m. UPDATE: Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd says a woman died in the house fire in Caraway. The name is not being released at this time until positive identification, and the family is notified. 


1:20 p.m. UPDATE: The Craighead County coroner has been called to the scene.

Lepanto fire units have been requested to help with the fire, according to E911 Director Jeff Presley.


Caraway firefighters have been called to a reported house fire in the 400-block of West Kentucky.
