JFD captain reports stolen handgun

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A captain with the Jonesboro Fire Department might be a bit hot under the collar after someone stole his handgun.

Captain William Pittman reported Monday that someone stole his Glock 27 handgun from the console of his Jeep Wrangler.

He described the weapon, valued at $450, as being black with green grips.

According to the initial incident report, Pittman said the theft happened sometime within the last two weeks.

Pittman provided a serial number to police and it was entered as stolen with the National Crime Information Center.

There are no suspects at this time.
