PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Young Region 8 students learned about agriculture this week through hands-on experience.
Kindergarten and first grade students at Paragould Primary got to experience Arkansas Farm U Tuesday.
That is a traveling exhibit from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service that is taken to schools throughout the state.
Coordinator Angie Stewart explained they teach the process of agriculture from beginning to end.
"There are nine stations where we talk about where our food comes from, how our food gets from the farm to the market," Stewart said. "But also how the food we eat effects our heath and our well being."
Fourteen Paragould High School FFA students also volunteered their team to help teach the students.
