GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A probation visit by the Greene County Sheriff's Department leads to the discovery of drugs, drug paraphernalia and more.
On Sunday, Deputy Mike Wess and other sheriff's deputies went to a home in the 2100-block of Greene 624 Road to do a probation visit on 36-year-old Craig Russom.
Wess approached an open back sliding door and asked a woman near the door if Russom was inside the residence.
The woman brought Russom to the door where Wess asked Russom if there was anyone else inside the residence.
Russom stated there were no other people there.
Wess told Russom they were there to do a probation visit then entered the home and saw 29-year-old Steven Brody Carter, who Wess said had a felony warrant for his arrest and arrested him.
The probation visit continued and deputies ran information about other people in the home through the Arkansas Crime Information Center.
During a search of a back bedroom, Deputy Ken Womack and Reserve Deputy Audrey Ward found 31-year-old Jeni Marie Wilson asleep on a bed.
When she woke up, deputies found a black plastic container with digital scales, a white substance suspected as methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe.
Ward told Wilson she was going to pat her down and Wilson admitted to having a bag of meth inside her bra. Ward retrieved the bad containing 3.3 grams and placed Wilson into custody.
According to the incident report, several items including a .30-30 rifle, knives, hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of the home.
Craig Russom, Jeni Wilson and 3 others were transported to the Greene County Detention Center facing various felony and misdemeanor charges.
After being searched at the detention center, the report states a jailer found counterfeit bills in Russom's pocket.
The case has been turned over to the Greene County Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.
