CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - -

While Jonesboro did not see much in the form of snow Wednesday morning, the same cannot be said for other parts of Region 8.

Clay County saw snowfall, but it did not last long.

By the time a Region 8 news reporter arrived in Clay County, much of the snow had already melted due to the continuing rainfall and temperatures being above freezing.

There were still small clues of snow left behind around 9:30 a.m.

Just as the Region 8 Storm Team predicted, the snow stuck to elevated surfaces and not the roads.

Several car and truck windshields in Rector had remains of snow on them.

Piggott had patchy areas of snow mainly on grass in residents’ yards.

By the time the crew drove back through Rector, the snow on truck and car windshields had already melted.

Residents said it was a pretty sight to see, but luckily the morning precipitation caused little problems for those in Clay County.
