KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - A humane department is looking for new homes for a group of dogs after they were rescued from a Kennett home.
According to a post on the Kennett Humane Department's Facebook page, the dogs are ready to be released to animal rescue organizations.
The case began after a social media post prompted an abuse and neglect investigation.
The owners, Crystal Wright and Maudrice Daniels, were charged with 10 counts of animal abuse and neglect.
According to the Facebook post, the Kennett Humane Department is full and the organization needs to "find reputable rescues to take them so that they may find their forever homes."
Anyone wanting to help with the dogs' medical care can make a donation to the Kennett Veterinary Clinic. You can contact the clinic at (573) 888-2255 for more information.
