MALVERN, AR (AP) - The Arkansas Department of Correction says a man convicted of killing his girlfriend's 22-month-old daughter has died after being found unresponsive in his cell.

The department says in a news release that 31-year-old Jesse Holloman was found shortly after 2 a.m. Friday in his cell at the Ouachita River Correctional Facility in Malvern and died about six hours later at a hospital.

The department says the death Holloman's being investigated as a possible suicide.

Holloman was serving a 46-year sentence after pleading guilty in Independence County to first-degree murder for the November 2010 death of Harley Davidson.

The girl's body was found in a refrigerator at a home in Desha. An autopsy found the girl died of asphyxiation.
