JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Several homeowners and business managers saw red after discovering someone had shot up their buildings and cars with yellow paint balls.

Jonesboro police and Craighead County sheriff’s deputies responded to three vandalism calls this past weekend involving paint balls.

On Saturday, a woman reported hearing something hit the side of her house, located in the 300-block of County Road 912.

When she and her husband went to look, they found someone had shot their home with yellow paint balls.

According to the initial incident report, some of the paint had also gotten onto the couple’s vehicle.

On Sunday, deputies were called to a home in the 600-block of CR 912 regarding a similar incident.

The man said someone shot his girlfriend’s car with a paint gun. The vandals also targeted a vacant house next door.

Jonesboro police responded to a similar call at Dollar General, 5900 E. Johnson, Sunday morning.

The sign above the store’s front entrance appeared to be the main target; however, a few other paint balls struck the front window and the brick beneath, the report stated.

Anyone with information on these acts of vandalism is asked to call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
