JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

One suspect took advantage of a packed Convocation Center parking lot during a concert.

University police arrested 22-year-old Michael Brackin for breaking in to five vehicles and stealing several items Friday evening.

According to Bill Smith, executive director of marketing and communication for Arkansas State, someone called police when they saw a man looking into several cars during the concert.

“We're just very happy for the cooperation of that person that saw something odd and our University police were able to respond and take care of it in a timely fashion,” Smith said.

Smith told Region 8 News Brackin took several things including tobacco, phone chargers and iPhones.

Smith warns people to not leave any valuables out in their cars especially during big events like a concert or game.

“You don’t want to leave things out that attract someone to come by your vehicle,” Smith said.

He also reminds people to call University police if they see any suspicious activity in the parking lot or on campus.
