WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) -

The West Memphis Police Department needs the public’s help finding an attempted car thief and robber.

According to a video posted to the police department’s Facebook page, the robbery happened Sunday at a motel on East Service Road in West Memphis.

The victim told police he saw a man breaking into his car.

That is when the victim said he chased the suspect until a blue vehicle pulled up and confronted him with a stun gun.

The suspect got into the car and drove off with the woman.

Police said the pair later returned.

In the surveillance video, you see the blue car circle around the parking lot and the man exit the car.

According to police, the suspect broke a window in the victim’s truck before the victim caught the man and chased him across the parking lot.

Officers believe the man caught breaking into the truck and the woman driving the blue vehicle were working together.

Anyone with information is urged to call the West Memphis Crimestoppers tip line at (870) 732-4444.
