JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Craighead County jury found a man guilty of breaking into a fishing lodge and sentenced him to 3 decades in prison.
Scott Ellington, prosecuting attorney for the Second Judicial District, announced that jurors convicted George Guthrie, 47, of Dixie of residential burglary and theft of property.
The verdict followed a one-day trial in the Eastern District Courtroom.
Circuit Judge John Fogleman followed the jury's recommendation and sentenced Guthrie to 30 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Guthrie broke into a fishing cabin at Williams Landing near the St. Francis River, Ellington said.
