EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say two people were killed in a single-car crash in northern Arkansas near the Missouri state line.

Authorities say the crash occurred Thursday night on Arkansas 23 in Carroll County, one mile from Arkansas' border with Missouri. A preliminary report says 27-year-old Joshua Hilton of Washburn, Missouri, lost control of the 2000 Jaguar he was driving and crashed into a fence and tree.

State police say Hilton was killed in the crash along with a passenger in his vehicle, 27-year-old Amanda Wade of Eureka Springs.

Authorities say the roads were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
