CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Cross County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about people going door-to-door selling vacuums and forcing their way into homes.

In a post on their Facebook page Friday night, the department asked that citizens be on the lookout for a light-colored van with a black man and woman and possibly two other people in it.

There is no description available for the other two suspects.

Sheriff JR Smith said in the post that the people in the van are going from house to house selling Kirby vacuum cleaners.

They are reportedly very pushy and “practically forcing their way into residents’ homes.” The post states they will not take no for an answer.

The van has either Tennessee or Mississippi tags and has a sign on the door. The department does not know what the sign says on it, though.

If you see this vehicle, you are urged to contact the Cross County Sheriff’s Office at 870-238-5700. If you feel threatened or unsafe, you should call 911.
