Westside superintendent takes position in Jacksonville

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Region 8 school is searching for a new superintendent after their former administrator accepted a new position at another school.

Superintendent Dr. Bryan Duffie has accepted the Assistant Superintendent for Support Services with the "new voter-created Jacksonville-North Pulaski School District" located in Jacksonville, according to a news release Tuesday from the Westside Consolidated School District.

Dr. Duffie was approved for the position by the JNPSD School Board on Monday.

"The Westside School Board has been very supportive during this process, and I appreciate their support and understanding," Dr. Duffie said as part of the news release. "I appreciate the board, staff, parent, student, and community support that they have given to me over the these last 11 years at Westside."

Westside will begin their search for the next superintendent.
