JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Instead of dinner and a show, Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliott and others enjoyed a bit of Broadway with their breakfast.

The chief, along with other local notables, attended “Breakfast on Broadway” Wednesday morning at the Micro Society Magnet School, 1110 W. Washington.

School staff donned costumes and entertained the students and guests in observance of National School Breakfast Week.

The event helps spread the message to administrators, parents and students that a healthy school breakfast is a great start to the day.
