Date set for CHS-PAWS annual fundraising walk/run

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) -

CHS-PAWS will host its 10th Annual John VanAusdall 5K run/2-mile walk on Saturday, April 30.

The race will start at the Caruthersville Library and take runners along the Mississippi River and down Ward Avenue.

Registration fees are $20 before the race and $25 on the day of the event. Each runner or walker will receive a t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit CHS-PAWS.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the race beginning promptly at 8 a.m. Participants can bring their dogs as long as they are up to date on rabies and on a leash.

The nonprofit animal shelter is also looking for sponsors for the event.
