Walmart seeking workers for new Paragould store

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

A new store coming to Paragould is looking to hire nearly 100 people.

Walmart has opened a temporary hiring center at 2711 West Kingshighway, as it prepares to open its new Neighborhood Market later this spring.

Applications, according to a news release, will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Walmart expects to hire as many as 95 workers.

Joshua Thompson, store manager, says the store will be hiring both full- and part-time workers.

Interested applicants can also apply online.

Veterans are especially encouraged to apply.

“Walmart will offer a job to any eligible U.S. veteran honorably discharged from active duty since the Veterans Welcome Home Commitment launched on Memorial Day 2013,” the release stated.
