Woman sentenced for Medicaid fraud

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 woman was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to Medicaid fraud.

A Pulaski County Circuit Court judge sentenced Lenisha Daniels, 32, of Blytheville to 3 years' probation and ordered her to pay a fine of $3,391.92.

The judge also ordered Daniels to pay $1,130.64 in restitution.

She paid $780 to the Arkansas Medicaid Trust Fund prior to her guilty plea, according to Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge.

Daniels pleaded guilty to billing the Arkansas Medicaid Program for services not rendered.
