Several areas in Region 8 experienced flooding this week, including areas in Southeast Missouri.

Crews worked on two roads in Kennett Friday.

The entrance to Jerry P. Combs Lake caved in due to flooding this week.

Businesses near Lester Street and Homecrest Street also had issues with flooding when a nearby ditch overflowed with water.

One resident said he has lived in the area for years and has never seen the ditch flood that much.

“It has backed up back this way before but never down that way and now it had just cluttered up and they are working on it now, it's down from what it was,” Kennett resident Earl Lutrell said.

McPherson Medical and Diagnostics had a lot of water from the ditch come into the building.

A cleanup crew was at the building Friday.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews worked to get the ditch drained and the roads open as well.
