HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Tyler Pritchett scored 30 points and hit seven 3-pointers to lead Bay to its second straight state title with a 61-55 win over Emerson in the Class 1A Boys state championship on Friday.
The championship is the fifth in school history for the Yellowjackets (37-7), their fourth in the last six seasons.
Pritchett was 9 of 20 from the field, including 7 of 12 on 3-pointers, as Bay broke open a 51-51 tie in the final minutes to secure the victory. Taylor Layne added 14 points and hit three 3-pointers for the Yellowjackets.
Tavion Revels scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds to lead the Pirates (35-1), who lost in the championship game to Bay for a second straight season, while Kenneth Collins added 13 points.
