Police investigate aggravated robbery at Jonesboro motel

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are investigating an aggravated robbery after a man said he was robbed at gunpoint by two black men.

The victim told police he and a friend met the suspects at the FairBridge Inn & Suites, 3006 South Caraway Road, before they planned to go to Memphis.

Minutes before they were supposed to leave, the victim said one of the suspects held a gun to the back of his head and demanded him to "run his pockets."

According to the report, the suspects stole $5,000 in cash; a $700 watch; a gold chain valued at $1,800; and the victim's car keys.

The man told police he did not know the suspects, but his friend with him did.

They told police the thieves were spotted leaving in a white car with Louisiana tags.
