CONWAY, AR (KAIT) - The University of Central Arkansas received a $500,000 Tuesday during a special presentation from Nabholz Charitable Foundation.
According to a news release, the money will be used to renovate laboratories and purchase computers and equipment to start a simulation center in the Doyne Health Sciences Building.
The lab will be used by nursing students primarily, but occupational therapy, psychology and physical therapy students can also use the lab.
Jimmy Ishee, dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences said, "the simulation provides another level of education that will enhance the clinical experiences as our students go out."
UCA's Department of Nursing has played a leadership role since it was established in 1967.
