CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - After the storms pounded through Region 8 Sunday night, one business owner is picking up from the aftermath.
Region 8 News got an inside look on what the heavy winds and the possible tornado did at Runsick's Flying Service in Cross County.
The owner Chad Runsick was at his house when he heard his business was in the path of a tornado-warned storm.
Once it passed, he went to check on things.
He arrived and saw plane parts scattered in the yard and panels ripped from the building.
The winds stripped a heavy garage door from the hinges and threw it across the yard.
Several barrels stacked in one place were also tossed several feet from where they were originally standing.
Runsick said all that will be very costly to replace, but he said he still is lucky.
"Everything here can be replaced, Runsick said. "We have insurance. Even if we didn't have insurance, we could still replace it. You just can't replace a human life."
That is why he remains happy, because no one in his family was hurt in the storm.
On Monday, Runsick spent the day picking up debris and assessed all the property damage.
Runsick said he also hugged his family a little tighter.
